Sometimes when your driving, you decide it might be a good idea to turn up the "wattage in your cottage" and get funky fresh with that beat. **
But your peeps rolling in your ride try to be haters all up in there.*
So, you get all, "Why you tryin' to waste my flava?"*
Even the little man ridin' solo doesn't feel your flow.*
* May not be an actual language or even slang lingo.
** My family gets really embarrased when I dance and drive.

My posse is all, "Why you gotta be dancin' in the living room all the time, yo?" so that's why I tell 'em to hush it when the groove hits in the minivan.
Then they ask why I have to talk like I do because I'm probably wrong on so many levels! Ha!
The little man look!! OMG! Hilarious!
Wow, Henry's look speaks volumes, doesn't it? I don't get the chance to dance in the car, much less sing if the kids are there. We have a DVD player in the man-van and if it's not on it starts to sound like a tree full of angry baboons.
I always like to peek out the window at my husband when he starts the car after I have been in there alone. The volume that I listen to music in the car when I am by myself is obnoxious. So you can imagine the look on his face when he starts the car.
That last look says it all!
I have a "special" dance that I reserve just for the kids friends. You know, to let them see how cool I am. (read: to embarrass the shit out of my children)
It's best done when there are no empty seat belts and you can get the full effect.
I am a serious car-dancing GEEK! If someone would hold a competition, I think I'd be an easy runner-up, maybe even crowned THE QUEEN. So turn up the funky fresh jamz! I'm rockin out already.
That photo .... I can feel the little man's pain.
Ha! Just this weekend, I had the husband rocking out to Abba as we cruised down the interstate! Love doing that! Thanks for stopping by. Your site is great! (Always love to see another Jen out there on the Internet. No, I don't. I actually hate it. But, you know what I mean, right?)
YES! I hate to admit, I now rock out to Radio Disney without realizing I am doing it. Sometimes when we are free of the little ones, The Man and I get in the car to go...wherever it is we can get to without them...and realize five minutes in that we are singing to the Jonas Brothers. Please send help, we need it.
What? Why'd they invent car stereos, then?
BWAHAHA!!
I don't care and I do sitting-down-wiggle-jam when in the car! I haven't gotten pulled over yet so I must be doing something right!
As long as you don't get out and dance in teh street at red lights, I am so down with you.
Thank goodness my offspring likes the same kind of music as I do, or we'd have serious meltdowns in the car.
i'm totally going to start a band and call it 'wattage in your cottage.' we'll sing all the rap hits of the early nineties. although is it possible to 'sing' rap songs? interesting dilemma.
ooooh yeeeah Booyee- I feel ya! I've got some mad car dance skilz too- my 11yo in particular cringes when I bust a move- and I sez- "don't be a playa hata, be a playa participatah"- and then she rolls her eyes and looks out the window pretending not to know me, while I snake to left as I turn that same direction...
Great posts! Thanks for stopping by puddinglegs!
I'm a huge car dancer (and living room dancer, and kitchen dancer, and grocery store ... you get the idea). One morning I was rolling into the office (back when I still worked) and I was car dancing and I snagged a spot next to our division president. I turned off the music and got out and he says, "I want YOU to pick me up tomorrow!"
