In Between Your Errands

I want to thank everyone for your incredible support during Adoption Week at Steenky Bee. You all have left me some lovely comments and even some amazing stories. Thank you, thank you so much.

Wednesday, Heinous and I co-posted similar stories (on purpose) about our experiences as adoptive parents. Oddly enough, our posts had similar title names (not on purpose).

I received a beautiful email from Rock and Roll Mama about her experience as an adoptee. Her words were so beautiful and so honest. The next day she posted her amazing story about her personal journey to find her birth mother.

Goodfather also posted an adoption post about his experience as an adoptee. It was difficult for me to read and extremely eye opening. All I can say to him is, thank you for sharing.

Thank you P and MG for sharing your thoughts with me on your feelings as adoptees yourselves. (I didn't reveal your names here because I didn't check with you first to reveal them or link to you. You know who you both are though. Contact me if you don't mind a link up and I'll re-post with an update. :) )

Check out these peeps today in between running all your errands. You won’t be sorry!

FIRST!!!! Steenky Stalker, if you say to stalk these people than your wish is my command. I loved your adoption stories and I love you.

Um, SECOND!!!! I think you made me cry like twice this week, you are that good. I love your writing and your good nature which makes everyone want to come live at Chez Steenky Bee. (I did a shout out to you this morning at the Dunkin' Donuts when we were getting coffee. John said something perfect and I responded with "That's what she said!" I don't remember now what he said that triggered my response, but it was good. I then told him about your Twitter and comments, and now he thinks I'm nuts.) (But that's not new. It just strengthens his arguement.) (This comment probably strengthens it too.) (Queen of the parentheses!!!)

I will go and stalk your friends too. If you do everything I say, it's only fair that I give it back in return! And I'm THIRD!!
I ditto Casey and SK... I love reading your posts and I love and stalk you always.

Look at the community you've found out here on the old internets! Amazing, huh!

I have to agree to stalk your friends since I think I have sort of become obsessed with you and your dancing face.

If I promise NOT to show up on your doorstep will you tell me where you live in Utah? I read some of your posts about Ogden and I think you might live close to all my family out there.

Read Heinous and Goodfather (tears, seriously), will check out rock and roll mama.

Thank you again for sharing. I love your approach toward raising your kids to be so open about their adoption. I have no experience with adoption, but I think that's the right thing to do. I'm sure Henry and Reese will thank you when they are grown. It can never hurt them because it is a part of them.

Have a great weekend, sister!

ELEVENTH!!!! YES!!!
Jeez I suck at this game. BTW, I was just over at Heinous's place...guess what? FIRST. :)

Ditto all the love above for the Bee. As I've told you before, I think it is so smart the way you are raising them to know how much they were wanted and allowing them to know about their birth parents. You and Jeremy are just good, smart and loving parents and Reesie and Henners chose wisely from thier little clouds. :)

And how could we not support you? You're one of the bestest blogger/stalkers ever. It's been a great week of posts from you. Thanks!

That was a great idea. I love posts that make me think, and that tweak my heart as well. It is so moving when people open their lives up to us.

I'm not ashamed to say that your posts made me cry like a little girl. They also healed my soul: knowing that there are parents out there that embrace the special needs of adopted kids, and give them their roots, let me share your love for them vicariously. I'm not joking. It was beautiful. Thank you.

Thanks also for the link!

LAST!!! hee, hee.
As I have said before, your story is amazing and I love the way you are handling adoption. In my younger days, I was a foster care counselor and that was my only experience with adoptions and it was not good. I am glad to be introduced to some good!!!

I loved your adoption stories, too!
I've been on the run for a few days, but I'm trying to catch up tonight or tomorrow, and I'll go where you tell me, Steenky.

Wow Steenky girl, thanks for the love.:) Seriously, it was so cool to read your post about Reese and Henry and their birthparents the week of my coming hime day, and it just triggered so many thoughts of my adoption. It just makes me so happy how much room the system has now for openness, and so gratified to know there are wonderful parents like you defining the new system, and walking the fuzzy line. You are AWESOME. Now I am the stalker too, Ja?

Oops. Guess when I leave a comment while using somebody else's computer I should log in as myself. Oh well. Sigh, have to go re-thread my snowshoes...
